* This is open to confirmation. The Parish Transcripts have it written down as David Leach & Martha Houwe. This is the only David Leach to be found in the records. And clearly the name Houwe should be House (Howse), as one of the witnesses was Mary House. I’m thinking that the name Martha, which has the letters, ARHA, the same as does Sarah, is more than coincidence and therefore copied incorrectly from the records.

**  The transcripts of the parish records have the parents as being Daniel & Sarah House.  Again I suspect and error in the copying, and the name should be David. On the original parish records maybe the forename was recorded as the shortened version, Da.  Which could be the cause of this error.

Both of these name conflicts I will try to confirm at a later date, but please be aware that they exist if you are basing your tree on this information. Although census records confirm that David Leech is the father of Elizabeth Leech (Whitehead).
